Glamorous Eva Longoria Smokey Eye

So I am fighting my urge to do a natural look and add a little navy smoke to this look. You seem to like it though (so far) so that's good. It was inspired by so many thing including the new dress I bought in NewLook that I might wear to my cousins wedding not sure I need to lose a but more weight first though.

Updates: Makeupbee contest and life in general

Hey guys! The OCC/Makeupbee contest results are in and I just wanted to update for anyone who missed it; I wasn't chosen as one of the 3 winners but I was in THE TOP 10 (#10 out of 542 entries!!) which, needless to say, I'm pretty jazzed about! I've entered almost all of the Makeupbee contests they've had and never made it this far, so I'm really happy.
I need to say a very sincere and heart-felt THANK YOU to every single person who took the time to vote for my entry; I was able to be in the top 10 because of your votes and it makes me so thankful to have such awesome friends/family/people supporting me and what I love to do. When I needed you guys, you were there for me and I'm truly grateful to you all<333
There are always contests going on over at Makeupbee and I plan to keep entering so keep an eye out for me! ;)

On another note, I'm not as actively blogging at the moment because life is pretty busy. I have an event coming up next weekend and will likely be without internet for several days next week.
Also it's been a fairly crazy couple of days, involving a broken water heater and an inch of water in our basement so yeah, lol.

Anyway, thanks again for all your help and support.. I'm truly blessed. I hope you all have a great weekend, thanks for reading! :D

YSL 30 Day Skin Care Challenge Week 3: Forever Youth Liberator

We're on Week 3 of the YSL 30 day skin care challenge! I hope my naked face photos have been giving you a good laugh or are at least making you feel better about your naked face! I have to say, doing this challenge has forced me to become more comfortable sans makeup. I'm gonna say it, but I feel "liberated" almost (pun intended)!

I'm happy to report that I'm feeling much better than last week and I even got some colour back in my face (thank you Mr. Sun for shining down on me)! So, do you see a difference? I don't see a significant change in my skin because it was alright to begin with. I have seen a difference in how smooth my skin feels and how even my skin looks. I barely have to wear any coverage. My skin also looks radiant and glow-y all day long. Now that I'm looking at all 4 pictures, my under eye circles do seem a tad lighter - a tad not a lot. In Week 1, the darkness covered the width of my eye. In Week 3, the darkness starts now from the middle to inner under eye. Not bad!

Only one more week left and then you'll never have to see anymore naked face photos (maybe...)!

Blush Palette Tutorial

Okay so y'all know I am in LOVE with the Coastal Scents Blush Palette right?!?!? Well if NOT...now ya know! I use this bad boy every single day and just keep finding more ways to use it. I figured why not do a look where almost eVeRyThInG comes form it? I know lots of ladies are way into the Naked Palette and having that be their travel companion but I would MUCH rather take this palette. I can use the brown to contour AND fill in my brows, the blush can be used for shadow, cheek color (obviously) AND lip stain...betcha didn't see that one comin! In this tutorial you'll see how to use this versatile palette to create a soft, romantic everyday look AND learn how to turn blush into lip color. Hope you enjoy it!!!

Spring Beauty Review 2012: Chanel Roses Ultimes De Chanel

Ok, this is coming a little late but these glosses are just too pretty not to talk about! Chanel's Roses Ultimes De Chanel collection new for Spring includes 6 Glossimers and 4 nail polishes. If shades of soft pinks and rosy shades tickle your fancy then you will love this collection. I've always been a fan of Chanel Glossimers because the finishes are gorgeous. For the most part, they come in pretty sheer shades which is why I love adding them as a finishing touch. The shimmery sparkle catches the light so nicely!

Amour (top) and Jalousie (bottom)

I got to test out Amour and Jalousie. Amour is a pretty pink with gold shimmer. Jalousie is stu-nning! Love the bright fuchsia and the strong pigment really surprised me because Glossimers are usually sheer. Out of all the shades Jalousie is the must-have that you need - should - (yes, I am here to encourage your addiction! ahh!) add to your lip collection. It's just that beautiful.

What are your favourites from the collection?

Products were sent for editorial consideration and I truly love them!
