Look: Rainbow Sherbet with BFTE and DGC

*All products were purchased by me except one which was provided for review. All opinions are my own.
This is a look from a few days ago when I basically just wanted to do some fun makeup. Who needs an excuse, right? ;D
I needed to break out my multitude of BFTE Cosmetics again, and try out a new product from Darling Girl Cosmetics. Read on for more!
 Products:

Eyes:
-Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper
-Milani Shadow Eyez 12 Hour Wear Eyeshadow pencil in Almond Cream
-Urban Decay eyeshadow in WOS (from crease to brow)
BFTE eyeshadows in:
-Walking on Water (teal w/ rainbow sparkles all over lids)
-Bubbly (peach gold metallic on inner corners)
-Belle of the Ball (matte dusty purple on outer corners)
-Blue Bird (bright cobalt blue between teal and purple)
-Darling Girl Cosmetics eyeshadow in Adoration (nude pearl on browbones)
-MAC Blacktrack Fluidline
-Prestige My Longest Lashes pro lengthening mascara
-theBalm "Balm Jovi" Rockstar palette (Presto, dark brown on brows)

Face/Cheeks:
-Reviva Labs primer
-Sua Young Mineral BB Cream
-mark. Powder Buff and setting powder
-Darling Girl Cosmetics blush in Neon Trees
-Urban Decay Naked Basics palette (Faint and Crave as contour)

Lips:
-Darling Girl Cosmetics matte lipstick in Electric Creamsicle (unreleased)

This is the left (awkward) side of my face and my expression is a little weird lol, but I thought the makeup looked really good in this one.
I really like how the makeup looks in these pics, I think it looks colorful and fresh but not over-the-top. I am in love with Electric Creamsicle and I think Susan needs to release it in the shop! She said she wasn't sure about the formula so she sent it to me to test out, but I think it's great. It's sort of balmy, especially in this warm weather, so it's not as heavy or drying as a true matte lipstick. The coverage is pretty pigmented and buildable, and it leaves a nice stain on the lips which I actually like in this case. It's such a pretty melony coral color on me, I love it. Plus it goes perfectly with Neon Trees blush!♥
Thanks for reading!

Drab To Fab pt 2

Here's part two of our fun series. Drab to Fab this time will be all about contouring a touch more and eyeshadow application. That is always everyone's favorite since the eyes can truly be transformed. Have fun with it and send me some pics!!!

Mini Rimmel Haul

Rimmel Haul & Swatches

In my recent youtube haul I showed some new products I picked up from Rimmel & as promised here are the swatches.

Rimmel Apocalips Big Bang                                                   Rimmel Apocalips Nova

When I saw Lily Collins on the cover of Glamour I was desperate to find a similar red and I think "Big Bang" is the perfect colour, With a subtle hint of pink this red is exactly what I was looking for.

And as I am not one to pass on a bargain, I picked this second colour up as it was "buy one get one half price" This rose pink is the perfect summer colour!

Moving on....

If you saw my nail tutorial you would have seen me apply these mint coloured fake nails and I love this colour, so when I was in boots I check out every brand to find this shade, Barry M and Max Factor have a pretty close dupe but I had to go with Rimmel and I think it worked out really well.

I painted my middle finger with this Peppermint shade and though it is a little darker its a pretty good match, little tip use a lighter top coat if you want it to be a perfect match.

and once again it was "buy one get one half price" so I picked up the new Flex mascara, both Rimmel and Maybelline have create this coat by coat smooth finish mascara. Apparently you can keep applying this mascara without drying out your lashes I have yet to try it out.

....anyone else think this looks like the rather famous Benefit mascara wand???

Darling Girl POTW: Swag

*This is a semi-sponsored post; all products were purchased by me with 20% discount from Darling Girl Cosmetics. I don't get any compensation for doing this post besides my discount, nor do I get anything if you click the links or buy the products. All opinions are 100% mine!*

Heyhey! It's that time again, my turn for the Darling Girl Cosmetics POTW, or Pick of the Week! I pick a product and Susan offers it 20% off for a whole week! Lucky you ;)

This week I chose the eyeshadow called Swag. Why? Well, just look at it...
This was swatched over DG's Primped and Primed primer which really makes the shift stand out!
It's sexy and it knows it...
Yeah, enough said.
Now, I will admit that the initial lightbulb to choose Swag as my POTW wasn't mine; the credit goes to my fellow Darling Girl Jeni. She asked me to do a look with Swag and Bubbles, two colors on her current DG wishlist. Your wish is my command Jeni! Hope you like it :)

For this look I decided to use Swag over my Maybelline Color Tattoo in Waves of White which I got recently. I'm not sure how it may have affected the color shiftiness of this eyeshadow but I know two things for sure: #1. This eyeshadow is extremely shifty! #2. My camera fails to fully capture the shiftiness, boooo. The swatches I took are really accurate but the pictures of my eye are a bit different from how it looked in person. (I just realized that my pictures look off partly because apparently I was shooting in 1600 ISO.... my camera resets every so often and I forgot to check the setting this time. I was wondering why they looked so grainy! v_v)

 Products:
-Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper
-Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo in Waves of White on lid/inner corner
-BFTE Cosmetics gel liner in Marcasite (dark gunmetal gray)
-DGC Swag on lid/lower lashline
-Urban Decay eyeshadow in Walk of Shame from crease to brow
-DGC Bubbles on tearduct/inner lower lashline
-DGC Adoration on browbone
theBalm "Balm Jovi" Rockstar Palette shades:
-Blink 1982 (satin plum-brown) crease
-Moderato (deep eggplant) outer corner and waterline
-MAC Blacktrack Fluidline (tightline)
-Maybelline The Rocket mascara
-Urban Decay Naked Basics palette on brow
-Cover Girl clear mascara on brow
-Wet N' Wild Coverall foundation in 815 Fair
-mark. Powder Buff foundation

I think the moral of this story, (besides remembering to check your camera settings often), is that this eyeshadow is a chameleon that can change appearance depending on the person, lighting situations (it looked different in every room in my house!) and various bases used, etc. The mini-moral (if there is such a thing): you need this color.
This POTW should become available tomorrow. If you don't own Swag, at least get a sample of it because it's awesome, I promise you'll love it! As for me, I think I'll be getting a jar of this and passing my baggie sample on to another unsuspecting victim future DG customer makeup-lover. >;)
