Day 29: Becky did this look a few days ago and said I could post it :) It was based on the shirt she's wearing, a flower pattern in shades of cream, brown, tan, pale peachy pink and powder blue, and copper. I loooooved what she did with this look, it was so beautiful. Soft and colorful<3

Day 28: another old EOTD

Day 28: This is yet another old eye look that I never posted anywhere because I didn't like how it turned out lol. I was trying to recreate a look I did over a year ago and loved, but it turned out nothing like it. v_v
I used BFTE colors: Spring Fever is the light pink on lid, and I thin I used Chocolate, Harvest, Guipure.. not sure what else. I still want to recreate the real one.. I'll get it eventually ;)

Day 27: "Bubbly Whisper" EOTD

For Day 27 I'm still running low on ideas so I dug up another old EOTD; it's another of my un-neutral neutral looks, this one I wore to church back in February. I think I used UD shadow stick in Sin as a base, with BFTE's Bubbly on lid, Jumping Bean in crease, and Whisper as highlight. I took this pic hours later so it's a bit worn by now, not to mention the pathetic liner but hey, I was running late, lol. I can still post it because I just love the colors together so much. Bubbly is the most gorgeous champagne gold color and I think it goes beautifully with the violet glow of Whisper. I need to do this combination again!<3

Thanks for sticking with me, I can't believe it's been almost a month already! This weekend has been a little slow but hopefully I'll get my groove back soon. ;)

Day 26: Old EOTD with BFTE

Old EOTD for Day 26.
I think I used the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Too Cool as a base, and the lid colors are BFTE's Crystal, Peacock, and Kou. Liner and mascara are the usual, and it looks like I also used UD Radium pencil on my waterline.
I think I wanted to do something Summery and beachy. It's simple but pretty and I remember being happy that the liner looked good, lol.

Day 25: BFTE Wildfire quick swatch

Well it's Day 25 and my computer has been acting up; it keeps freezing and then not wanting to start up again. It happened again tonight and I was worried I wouldn't get to make my post, but thankfully after letting it sit a few hours I was able to get it working again. :)
Tonight I bring you a swatch I did last week of Wildfire, a recent COTW from BFTE Cosmetics. I received this jar free because I was the Fan of the Week on their Facebook page, yay! :D It was perfect timing because I've always wanted to try this color but knew I wouldn't be able to order due to my eyeshadow no-buy.
On to the pics!
I think this color is described on the site as a light cantaloupe orange with gold shimmer, and I'd say that is a very accurate description. The shimmer makes it metallic, especially when used over something like Darling Girl's Glitter Glue (which I believe it was in the swatch below). It's a very pretty color<3

(Swatched on glitter glue and taken in natural light)

And there you have it! I recommend this color if you like orange, metallics, or sparkles.

Day 24: Quick Wet N' Wild lip swatch

It's Day 24 and I'm afraid all I have time for is a quick lip swatch of this lipcolor I tried out today; it's "24 Carrot Gold" from Wet N' Wild. (I only just got the name for this.. until now it never made sense to me, lol.)
This lippie is literally a bright carrot orange! (You can see arm swatches here.) It's quite creamy and pigmented; in my swatch it may look a bit sheerer and shiny because I applied it over lipbalm. You can see the dry patches on my lips really stand out with this shade so you will want to exfoliate and maybe prime your lips to get the best results from this one. Using it with a lipliner would probably also help.

I will admit it's not my favorite shade in my collection, but it is nice to have as a novelty for makeup looks. Actually, after taking this swatch, I blotted some of the color off with a tissue and reapplied some lipbalm and the result was a bright orangey-coral stain. It was much more wearable this way so that might be something to try if you're afraid of the vivid color.
All in all I'd say if you're looking for a true orange lippie, you should try this one out. It's inexpensive and would make a nice addition to your collection :) I think I want to try pairing this with other colors to find a wearable combination. Maybe use it with a pink liner or gloss? ;)
On another note, the azaleas are in full bloom around my house! This photo dulls the colors but they're a much deeper more vivid shade of fuchsia, almost too bright to look at. Aren't they pretty?<3

Women's Conference

Who loves to better themselves? Raise of hands? Good! I'm glad I'm not alone =). Well last year I went to a WoNdErFuL conference where I was able to hear uplifting messages, sing with thousands of women and provide service and aid by completing service kits for people around the world. It was such a great experience and I came home feeling motivated and ready to promote change within myself and my family. I am SO excited to attend again this year with. my. MAMMA!!!!!! I will be picking her up from the airport momentarily with a cute hand made sign that says...you guessed it MAMMA!!!!! Can't wait to see her and show her all around.
On a side note, Your Home Based Mom's Leigh Ann Wilkes will be in town and has asked me to do her makeup for a fun 1950's photo shoot. Since I will still be at the conference, she asked if I wouldn't mind doing it in one of the building during a break LOL. SO excited to do that and to see the gorgeous pics that will be done by Tara B. Check them both out and if you are going to the very same conference make sure to come and say hi! I would love to meet you and give you a big hug =).
