*All products purchased by me except the bb cream which was a giveaway prize, and Tanzanite gel eyeliner which was a gift. All opinions are my own, I am not being compensated for this post.

This is another look I did while on vacation; simple and neutral with a twist :) I used Tanzanite gel eyeliner from BFTE Cosmetics and Hot Rocks, one of my all-time favorite eyeshadows from Darling Girl Cosmetics.
Keep reading for more pics and full product list!
Taken outdoors with flash.
Taken indoors with flash; mainly I included this shot so you can see the shimmery-ness of Hot Rocks on my lid, lower lashline, and over the eyeliner :)

Hey y'all! I'm back from vacation and had a great time; we had amazing weather and I even got a little tan, which NEVER happens lol.
Here's another look I did while there, a gold and brown neutral eye using BFTE Cosmetics and a few other things. Keep reading to see all the details :)

Since this was several days ago I'm not 100% positive whatall products I used, but the list is accurate to the best of my recollection.
Nothing on my lips once again, though after I took these I think I used a Maybelline Color Whisper lipstick; not sure if it was Pin Up Peach or Lust For Blush.
This look reminds me a bit of my old look using some of these colors and a few others, but I think this one is much nicer since I made sure to blend it a lot for a soft effect. :)

On this day we took a ferry to an island that day and I ended up swimming in the ocean which I wasn't really prepared for, but hey, gotta be spontaneous sometimes right? I got washed over my head by waves about 3 times but my eye makeup didn't look too bad, I just had a little mascara or something smeared under my eyes lol. I wore sunglasses all day anyway so no one even noticed. :P

EOTD: Poolside Storm (DGC and BFTE)

*All products purchased by me except the bb cream which was a giveaway prize. All opinions are my own, I am not being compensated for this post.*

I'm on vacation again, woo! This one was rather spur-of-the-moment beach getaway with my whole family so I'm really enjoying having us all together. :)
Today I did a makeup look using Darling Girl and BFTE Cosmetics; it's another neutral-with-a pop-of-color kind of look because I was seriously lacking inspiration for what to do, lol. I like how it turned out though. Keep reading for the details...

-DGC eyeshadow in Copper Storm (GWP) on lid
-DGC eyeshadow in Poolside Party on lower lashline
-Darling Girl Cosmetics eyeshadow in Adoration from crease to browbone and tearduct/inner corner (nude pearl)
-BFTE eyeshadow in Ornamental on inner corner/tearduct, on lid over Copper Storm, and on lower lashline over Poolside Party

  -Prestige My Blackest Lashes mascara
-Sonia Kashuk concealer quad, lightest shade
-Urban Decay Naked Basics palette on brows (Naked2 and Crave)

I'm not wearing anything on my lips, just a little lip balm. The look was a bit darker and smokier in person so I didn't want to overwhelm my face with lipcolor.
After I finished the look, I used some of BFTE's Ornamental eyeshadow, a pale gold, and patted it on the middle of my lids and lower lashline just to add a little dimension.
Poolside Party is a blue/turquoise shade but due to the gold/green sheen and also the extra gold I used over it in this look, it turned out looking quite greenish on my skin. The color does shift though; if you look at the full face shots, you can see on the nearest eye it looks green, but on the far eye it looks more blue. I love it and recommend checking it out if you haven't yet!

EOTD: Faith (BFTE)

*All products purchased by me except the bb cream which was a giveaway prize, and Faith eyeshadow sample which was a gift. All opinions are my own, I am not being compensated for this post.*
I've been home for a week now but haven't really gotten a chance to do makeup until today. Jet lag is no fun! :<
Anyway, here's a look I did today; I was just going to do something fun, but then my brother said he wanted to take my sister and me to see Wolverine tonight, so I wanted to make this look wearable for that as well. I've been dying to use this eyeshadow from BFTE Cosmetics called Faith; while I was out visiting, Crystal was kind enough to let me have a sample, which I used in this look and I must say, as with most of her products, I'm in love! It's a gorgeous color♥
So happy to have my camera again ^______^
Products:
Face/Cheeks:
-Reviva Labs primer
-Sua Young BB Cream
-mark. loose setting powder
-Darling Girl Cosmetics blush in Neon Trees
-Urban Decay Naked Basics palette, Naked2 as contour (light taupe)
-BFTE Cosmetics Light Bronzer
Eyes:
-Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper
-Milani Shadow Eyez pencil in Almond Cream
-MAC Blacktrack Fluidline
-BFTE eyeshadow in Faith on outer half of lid (shimmery wine-rust shade)
-theBalm "Balm Jovi" Rockstar palette Adagio on inner lid and above crease (light cafe latte matte)
-Urban Decay WOS to blend edges (light cool nude matte)
-Darling Girl Cosmetics eyeshadow in Adoration as highlight (nude pearl)
-BFTE eyeshadow in Butt Naked on tearduct and middle of browbone (low-shimmer vanilla highlight shade)
-Prestige My Blackest Lashes mascara
-Sonia Kashuk concealer quad, lightest shade
Lips:
-Belleme Cosmetics Kiss of Flavor listick in Pink Petal
-Maybelline Color Whisper in Lust For Blush

So besides the light nude matte shadows from palettes which I used to blend out the shadow, I only really used the one color in this look. Faith is a gorgeous eyeshadow, it has sort of a dark base and then the cranberryish shimmer with lighter pink tones. I applied some to my outer lid and then blended it out and up into the crease; then I patted on some more eyeshadow just to the outer lid for concentrated shimmer and color. You can see the difference, it looks like I used a darker crease color. I really like it ;3

If you want to buy Faith you can find it in The Violet Set and also the Soulmate mini collection on BFTE's site, but I don't think they sell it separately at this time.

I can't wait to get home next week and have my Canon Rebel for pictures cuz the iPhone does a good job but it just doesn't do the colors justice. Anyway, hope you liked this lazy Sunday look! As always, thanks for reading♥

This is my makeup from yesterday; I used Darling Girl Cosmetics and my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette to create this look. Keep scrolling if you want more details! :)
Best close-up I could get. It washed out a little of the color but what can ya do?
I guess this pic was slightly out of focus, which I didn't realize until I saw it on the computer lol. Oh well..

I really wanted to do a gorgeous mint-chocolate look like this one by the beautiful Alexis Leigh, which I absolutely loved. I thought I would use Darling Girl's Lucky eyeshadow, one of my favorites, but alas, I didn't bring it with me on my trip. So I did a teal-y blue and brown look and liked how it turned out. :)

EOTD: "Tribalistic" with Darling Girl Cosmetics

Hey y'all! It's been a while since I posted, it was a crazy week and an even crazier weekend, but hopefully things will be more "normal" now.. (in quotes because when is anything TRULY normal? haha.)
Today I have for you a somewhat artistic look using all Darling Girl products (which I purchased myself, fyi). I started with the liner and kept adding things to the look, ending up with this; to me the design looks sort of futuristic-tribal, or Tribal-istic. What do you think?

Check it out:
Products:
-Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper
-DGC Glitter Glue (lower lashline/inner corner)
Darling Girl Cosmetics eyeshadows in:
-On-X (applied with BFTE Mix & Fix) as liner
-Electra (yellow-lime green with gold sheen)
-Patty O' Green (white with green duochrome) inner corner and lid
-Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette (eyebrow, crease and browbone)
-Sugarpill pressed eyeshadow in Tako (browbone)
-MAC Blacktrack Fluidline (tightline and waterline)
-Cover Girl Lash Perfection mascara
-Cover Girl clear mascara on brow
-Hard Candy Glamoflauge in Light
-mark. Powder Buff in Nude

Taken without flash; it was a bit over-exposed so I had fun editing it more than usual. I like how bright and clear my iris looks.
I feel like a broken record but I feel like this looked so much better in person. My camera, though it takes great pictures and has very accurate color, sadly flattens my eye, especially when used with flash. My eye looks like it has no dimension, which detracts from the look in my opinion. Oh well.. at least the shininess of Patty O' Green showed up some. It's such a gorgeous eyeshadow, as are all the Rainbow Brite shades!♥
I didn't use too many products for this, I wanted to keep it simple. Unfortunately since I added the crease and lid shades after I did the liner, some of the outer wing flaked off while I was blending vigorously. Anyway, aside from that and my weird eye shape which makes me do weirdly-shaped eyeliner sometimes, I like how this turned out. I loved the addition of the green design along my browbone. I'd love to do more looks like this using different colors! I think this would also look awesome using some bright matte shadows and a matte black gel liner. I didn't feel like using falsies or I'd have added some to really make it pop. That part is up to you ;)

Some vacation looks

Hey guys, it's been a while! I've been on a sort of unofficial hiatus because my computer is broken every other day so posting has been almost impossible lol. Anyway, I just got back from a nice beach vacation so I thought I'd share the handful of looks I did on the trip. They're simpler and more wearable than some of the looks I usually post but I tried to balance it out by making them nice and colorful :) I used very few products and all shadows are from BFTE Cosmetics. If you'd like to see the details, keep reading! And don't forget to click the pics to view larger sizes.

This was the first look I did, I call it Purple Pop because I could not think of a good name that didn't sound cheesey. I wanted purple to go with my magenta shirt; I don't know how that goes together but in my mind at the time, it did. ;P

Products:
-Primer: Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper
-Base: Urban Decay "Ransom" pencil (creased badly!)
-Lid: Grape
-Crease and lower lashline: Sycamore

-Highlight(s): Whisper (tearduct) and Butt Naked (browbone)
-Liner: Urban Decay Zero or Perversion pencil, forget which..
-Mascara: Cover Girl Lash Perfection

I wear this look often when I want color but nothing too OTT. I'm in love with Sycamore, it's such a pretty brown but it also has a little mauve or purple or pink undertone to it. I don't recommend using the purple pencil as a base, there was barely any makeup left on my lid by the end of the day. Horrifying!

I call this one Antique Green, another super simple look. I only took about 4 pictures and this was the only one that wasn't blurry.

-Primer/Base: Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper
-Lid: Orionis (entire lid), Sassafras (inner half)
-Crease: Canyon

-Highlight(s): Butt Naked
-Liner(s): Sephora Liner Electro in Khaki Electro (line lid and deepen crease) and Urban Decay -Perversion (upper tightline)
-Mascara: Maybelline Mega Plush in Deepest Black
Green is my fall-back color. (In my mind green is a neutral, lol.) I'm IN LOVE wish Sassafras and I wish I could have gotten the Fall collection just to have a full jar of this. it's the perfect shade of goldish-green, or maybe it's a greenish-gold... either way, it's my perfect shade and I know I'll be using this baggie up quickly. :(
I bought a new mascara at Walmart the day before and used it in this look; it's the newish Maybelline Mega Plush which was recommended by several makeup friends and so far I really like it!

I call this look Golden Amber. I wanted something neutral since I didn't know what I'd be wearing that day, and also there was a possibility of going out to dinner so I wanted something that would look good with different outfits. In short, I wanted something neutral, but of course I always go for a neutral color rather than browns or blacks, etc.

-Primer and base: Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper
-Lid: Amber (entire lid), Bubbly (over Amber), Ornamental (crease, tearduct and inner third).
-Highlight: Butt Naked
-Liner: Urban Decay Perversion pencil (lid winged out and tightlined with brush)
-Mascara: Maybelline Mega Plush in Deepest Black.

I ended up wearing this look all afternoon on the beach and then out to dinner so there were indeed several changes of attire involved. ;)

This was my favorite of the bunch; I'd had this look in mind for weeks beforehand and even had a name picked out. I call it Avocado Melon :D

-Lid: Treason (outer half), Sassafras (inner half)
-Crease: Melon
-Highlights: Ornamental (tearduct and over Melon), Butt Naked (browbone)
-Liner: MAC Blacktrack Fluidline (winged out on lid and tightlined between lashes)
-Mascara: Maybelline Mega Plush in Deepest Black.
When my sister saw me she asked if I was wearing false lashes and I had the pleasure of telling her I wasn't. :) I'm so glad I waited to do this look until I had Sassafras because it truly was perfect. I love how this turned out and I'll definitely be doing it again.

So there you have it! Simple and colorful looks that are wearable for whatever. The primer helped them to last until I took it off at night with minimal fading/creasing. (Except the purple look but that was the pencil's fault.) I kept everything else very light, using nothing on my brows and just chapstick/gloss on my lips. On my skin I used mark. face primer, Maybelline Dream Foam, and mark. Powder Buff. No blush since my face was kind of red and broken out. :( That being the case, and since pictures amplify redness/blemishes, I did touch up the pics a bit so my skin wasn't distracting too much from the eye makeup which was really the focus. I wasn't gifted with perfect skin and I hate caking on a pound of product just to make it look normal when I can just use a program to adjust the photos a bit. Don't worry about my pics looking fake though, there's still plenty of pores and pimples to prove they're real lol. ;)
Anyway, hope you enjoyed seeing these looks! I'm going to try and do makeup more often so if there's anything you want to see, please let me know in a comment.
Thanks for reading!

Look: Neutral bridal look with BFTE (contest)

Here's a look I did about a week ago; I was playing with makeup because my sister wanted me to be in her youtube video, lol. The look I ended up doing seemed a bit Bridal to me so I took some pictures in case I wanted to use it for the current Makeupbee contest. (It's a Bridal Look contest sponsored by BFTE, one of my favorite companies, so I had to enter!)
You can check out my entry here and "Luv" to vote :) I'm not crazy about the photo I used but it was one of the only ones that actually showed the makeup and was in focus, lol.

Now here's an odd smattering of photos for you to peruse if you wish.. I was experimenting with my camera tripod and remote in natural lighting so the pictures all look a bit different. The ones that look completely washed out were taken that way so it's hard to see the makeup but I thought they were nice photos anyway. *shrug*
The flash went off unexpectedly so I was sort of squinting, lol. This was taken before I added the falsies and stuff.
I didn't get many close-up shots of the makeup but here's the eyeshadow..
