BECKY's Easy BFTE Purple and Green look

I was going pretty crazy getting ready for a church picnic, so I didn't have much time for makeup. I used what I had laying around the bathroom and just went with it. Luckily it's my favorite colors.

Three simple shadows over a primer, some liner/mascara and poof!
Compliments galore! It was a great day.

 Products used:
Hard Candy Glamoflauge concealer on my face. etc.

-UDPP
-BFTE Envy eyeshadow on the lid and inner corner
-BFTE Illusion eyeshadow on the outer corner, blended inward
-BFTE eyeshadow Sugar Plum above the crease
-UD 24/7 liner in ZERO
-Some liquid liner
-Mascara (on curled lashes)

Enjoy!

Then I added jaded around the entire eye and dabbed a little on the highlight area of my lid.

Look: "Papillon" with BFTE Cosmetics

Hi there, hope everyone is enjoying what's left of the weekend! :)
Today I bring you a look that I've been planning for a while and was finally able to do this past Friday; it's based off a drawing my sister Becky did. I loved the colors so much I asked her to design me a makeup look from it:
I tried to capture the essence of her design in my look, I hope I succeeded. What do you think, does it look like the paper? :D
 Products:

Eyes:
-TFSI Candlelight
-Tick:Tock Infinity Shadow Base in Milky Way (white)
BFTE Cosmetics shadows in:
-Hydrobius (aqua on outer corner/lower lashline)

-Very Vanilla (matte vanilla to blend edges)
-Butt Naked (shimmer vanilla highlight on browbone)
-Blue Bird (bright cobalt blue mixed w/ Mix & Fix, used wet as liner)
-Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On pencil in Radium (bright blue on waterline)
-Shu Uemura curler
-Cover Girl Lash Perfection mascara
-NYX "Blue Jay" Special Effects Lashes
Brows:
-Tick:Tock Infinity Eyeshadow Base (nude shade)

-mark. powder
Darling Girl Cosmetics (DGC) blushes in:

-Secret Star (cheeks)
-Cheeky mixed with BFTE blush in First Kiss
-BFTE shadow in Butt Naked as highlight

Lips:
-MAC lip pencil in In Synch (pale pinky peach)
-NYX Mega Shine gloss in Sugar Pie
I love my Tick:Tock bases, they are nice and sticky and really grab the shadows! Think NYX jumbo pencils but much less greasy ;) I'm also loving my BFTE Pro Color shadows, they are so easy to use.. I literally patted them on my lids and barely had to blend or anything.. I was like "Huh..." lol. It felt odd not blending a lot but I didn't want to mess it up. xD
I took this pic with the little camera, I think it shows the shape of the shadow really well. For once I did good shape! Finally! haha xD
Sorry for the awkward watermarks.. I've recently become hyper-aware of some unscrupulous people stealing makeup looks and using them on websites without giving a shred of credit to the true artist. It angers me and while there's not a lot I can do if someone is determined to steal photos, I can at least try and discourage them lol.
Also, because I would feel weird if I don't mention it: I was a bit more liberal with editing these pictures than I usually allow myself to be. I smoothed my skin some because I was having a really bad skin day and my foundation applied completely wonky and looked pretty bad. All I did was remove blemishes and diffuse some of the rough texture that was showing in the photos. I also did a bit more contrast since I took the photos in different lighting and each one was different. (Rest assured that the shadows were really this bright in person!) I had fun with it and I hope you can appreciate these images because I worked hard to keep the balance between art and reality, if you know what I mean. :)

I hope you enjoyed this look as much as I did creating it! I'm happy with the way it turned out, the shadows were stunningly bright in person and the lashes really added the dramatic flare I wanted. After I took these pics I wore this look out to clean the church, lol. Luckily no one was around to see me except my siblings. ;3
Thanks so much for reading!<333

Day 56 Becky's Patriotic Makeup Tutorial

Disclaimer: there are many things I would do differently that I have learned over the last year (this is from 2011) I have tried to type in my corrections and advice along with the original photos. Enjoy and please send us a photo if you try this, we'd love to see it!!
-Becky (and Emily)

Step one : fresh face and then do your foundation/concealer or whatever you like. (I waited a while, forgive my naked face for the photos!)

Step 2, make a plan! I used Beauty From The Earth Mineral shadows.

Step 3 after using primer over face, Use NYX Cosmetics Jumbo Eye Pencil in: Milk

4: Sticker stars!

5: (Should have started with the Red crease, but here I began with my base color.Peacock.)

Added red to my crease. and added more peacock to my lids.
Then 6: start adding Milk pencil to bottom lid area.

7: Using a fine brush, DAB/PAT red/dark pink shadow in bottom lid area. note: Black area = auto red-eye correction!

There should be no black eyeshadow whatsoever.

8: Using Blue liquid eyeliner from mark. girl in Blue Chrome, add blue stripes and winged line to top and bottom area.

9: Adding more definition, don't be afraid to thicken the eyeliner.

10: Remove stars and using white eyeliner, add a little to the vacant area.
Touching up more of the bottom red, and added some peacock to the bottom eyeliner. See the green sheen

11: Using white eyeliner, add definition to the outer wings, around the red.

12: personal choice- using the Blue Chrome eyeliner, I added some drawn stars. I could have done it on a little paper and pressed the shape on while wet, rather than drawing in the mirror. xD

13: Don't forget your mascara and curled eyelashes. Also defining your eyebrows is a good idea. Using Spellbound, a dark blue- I defined my crease over the blue, and the eyeliner a little better

14: I used False eyelashes for this, but in the end they weren't much different from my natural ones.

15: For my lips, I consequently used a white base and then put red over it, this made my lips look more full, we also added red glitter which really made it dazzle. *NOTE BY EMILY: The red lippie is #911D "Stoplight Red" by Wet N' Wild. I know you wanted to ask! ;)*
OK firecracker! you're ready!

Have a great summer and God Bless America!
