I can't wait to get home next week and have my Canon Rebel for pictures cuz the iPhone does a good job but it just doesn't do the colors justice. Anyway, hope you liked this lazy Sunday look! As always, thanks for reading♥

I thought I would use Darling Girl's Lucky eyeshadow, one of my favorites, but alas, I didn't bring it with me on my trip. So I did a teal-y blue and brown look and liked how it turned out. :)

EOTD: BFTE Brights

*All products purchased by me, except the bb cream which I won in a giveaway. All opinions are my own, I am not being compensated for this post.*
Hey guys! It's been a while since I've posted but there's a reason for that, lol. I've been on vacation for the past 2 weeks, yay! I'm in Kansas visiting my friend Crystal who is the owner of BFTE Cosmetics. We both had some time free this summer so she invited my sister Becky and me to come over and check out Kansas life. ;)
Anyway, I wanted to share this little look I did yesterday to go to the zoo; I hadn't done any colorful eyeshadow looks in a while because I've been stuck in a "neutral with a pop of color" rut, lol. So for a fun day at the zoo I decided to go a little brighter!
I also got a much-needed and long-overdue haircut :3
This isn't the best photo but I don't have a real camera with me so I just used my sister's iPhone. The colors are very true-to-life though. :)

Products:

Face/Cheeks:
-Reviva Labs primer
-Sua Young BB Cream
-Maybelline Dream Matte Powder
-Darling Girl Cosmetics blush in Neon Trees
-Urban Decay Naked Basics palette, Naked2 as contour (light taupe)

Eyes:
-Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper
-Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo in Waves of White
BFTE Cosmetics eyeshadows in:
-Splash (light blue with gold and green iridescence. I think this color was limited so it's not on the site.)
-Laura (purplish magenta? lol not sure how to describe it)
-Lava Momma (bright hot pink at outer corners)
-Whisper (apricot/violet duochrome just in tearduct)
-Urban Decay Naked Basics palette (Walk of Shame to blend edges)
-Darling Girl Cosmetics eyeshadow in Adoration (nude pearl as highlight)
-MAC Blacktrack Fluidline
-Prestige My Blackest Lashes mascara
-Sonia Kashuk concealer quad, lightest shade

Lips:
-Maybelline Color Whisper in Lust For Blush

I kept it really simple, concentrating on the eyes. I've been going super light on the foundation since it's so hot here, just BB cream and a little powder. I walked around a few hours in 100+ degree heat and sun, sweated a lot, but my eye makeup was still going strong when I took it off. Win!
A not-so-good closeup, lol.

This look was really fun to do, I love these colors together♥
Thanks for reading!

Interview With Nichole Huntsman

Loved this interview with Nichole. I really believe that she is hungry to help others in the best way possible. Soooo many good tips about low calories diets and why they don't work. What can Revolt do for you? Why did she start? Why do we all "yo-yo diet"? What happens when I get to my goal size? Watch it!!!!! I am getting ready to go home soon and I want to get fitter than I am. SO happy with how sculpted my arms are getting, my butt is lifting (miracles happen) and my weight is staying at 129. How are YOU staying fit this summer?

Makeup for Beginners

Hello my Beginner friends,

So many of you have asked for a few easy eye makeup tutorials.
So I picked two classic looks that can be adapted in so many ways.

The First is a classic smokey eye,
This works great for lots of eye shapes including those with uneven lids (as it's easier to hide) Eyes with little definition (as it creates a shape) and overly large eyes (as it can make the eyes smaller)

The Second is a classic smokey crease,
This works on almost everyone including close set, deep set, hooded, Asian and average eye shapes.

If you master both of these techniques there is no end to the amount of looks you can do. I want you to try out both at the same time just like I did, to work out which works best for you.

Stay beautiful my friends,
 Sinead xoxo

Review: Silk Naturals Cream Blush in Candy Apple

*Product sent for review. All opinions are my own.
A while back I had the opportunity to try some products from Silk Naturals; I'd never tried this company before but had seen a lot about them on various blogs and such. I'm not reviewing the company today, I will do a more informative post on their website and everything at a later time.

This post features their Cream Blush in shade Candy Apple, a bright warm red!
From the website:

Candy Apple- RED cream blush: $4.50

Candy Apple is seriously RED that blends out into a lovely pink.  It's nicely balanced and should wok for most folks, and gives a natural happy flush to your cheeks.  Candy Apple is super pretty- don't be intimidated by the extreme red in the pic. It's also lovely dotted on over lip balm.  Uber pigmented so a little dab is all you need- use caution if you're pale because it takes less than you think it would.  Candy apple is completely sheer with no shimmer at all.

This is very pigmented, so a little will go a long way.  Dot it on your cheeks to give a little glow, use it to perk up lippies- the sky's the limit.  This color is lip and face safe. NOT eye safe.

Ingredients:  Capric Capryllic Tryglycerides (fractionated coconut oil), Candelilla Wax.  Also contains:  Mica, FD&C Color

Shelf life- at least 1 year.

Cream blushes come packaged in convenient slim tubes just like our lippies! The base is creamy, but blends well, and feels dry.
Natural light swatch on my arm; left is straight from the tube, right is blended out with my fingers.
Flash picture. This shows the color more true, it is a warm shade of red. The natural lighting picture looks a bit too cool.

Since I have a lot of redness in my face and cheeks and tend to wear powder foundation, I have not tried this cream blush on my cheeks. I did however wear it on my lips and I must say, I quite like it:
Wearing Candy Apple Cream Blush on my lips. For blush I'm wearing Cherry Bomb blush from Darling Girl Cosmetics.
I wore Candy Apple on my lips when I went out to brunch last week; the texture is pretty slippery but I found I got better results when I applied heavily, blotted lightly with a tissue, and then applied again. The product is slightly staining but not enough that I would call it a lip stain product. It's more like a very very pigmented balm. There is no shimmer at all, just opaque glossy color, however it is buildable so you can also just dab on a little and rub it with your finger, as the website suggests. That's how I first applied it since I was a bit timid at first lol, but as I got used to the color I slowly built it up to a bold fire-engine-red, as you see in the photo. I really liked how it looked, and I felt that if you're looking for a red that doesn't require a lot of commitment, this might work nicely. Since it's buildable from sheer to full coverage, it can be very versatile depending on your mood, and the stain isn't too hard to remove if you change your mind. I did reapply after eating and drinking since some of the product had worn off a bit on my inner lip area, and left it looking a bit uneven. The more you build it, the more slippery it gets due to the coconut oil in it, but can easily be lightly blotted for a more matte finish.

Summary:
Overall I really like this product and will continue to use it as a lip color! I love that it's made from coconut oil, which I use on my lips every day at home. It has no scent or flavor that I could detect, which to me is always a plus since I'm picky about lip products. The ingredients are few and non-offensive, and the price of $4.50 is appropriate in my opinion. If you're looking for a warm red lip color made with more natural ingredients, I would say give Candy Apple a try :)
*Note: Silk Naturals will be closed from July3-July14 for vacation*
