Quick Makeup...Gotta GO!!!

pic from freeandwildsoul
SO late and just needing to get ready. I like Sundays because I don't get dressed up all the time and church affords me the chance to do just that. We go to church at 9am and we didn't set our alarms, soooooo needless to say we were in a major rush. I still wanted to look nice and not do a 5 or 10 minute face so here is something a bit longer but still pretty quick. Products used:
Cream foundation from MUD Cosmetics
Concealer from Dermablend
Xango mineralized foundation
Coastal Scents Contour Palette (brown)
NARS cream blush in Maui
Coastal Scents Blush (bottom row in contour palette)
UDPP
88 palette brown shadow (choose one light and one dark)
Cream color from same palette on lid and brow
Dark brown on the under eye
MACs Blacktrack Fluidline on inside waterline
Dark brown CG pencil for brows then set with 88 palette brown
Cover Girl mascara (one coat)
Ardell Demi Whispies in black false lashes
DUO lash glue

Basic Smoky Eye Class (class is full)

It is short notice and I have been tossing the idea around for the last week. I have decided to just go ahead and DO it since I would love to teach it before Valentine's Day!!! I will be having a basic smoky eye class at my home this Saturday at 10:00 am. It is $10 for the class and I have limited spaces so it is first come first served. I will be going over common mistakes and answering all of your questions about this must know technique. There will be treats, a gift bag and a door prize. Wanna come? Shoot me an email =)!

Becky: Pro/Anti Valentines Day Look

A sweet Valentines Day look for those feeling the sugary love and romance
A dark and brooding look of the ANTI-Valentines Day woman scorned and bitter
(and not looking forward to "singles awareness day")

Someday my prince will come :3

Ballerina Bun

The classic bun or has been around for forever. Ladies have taken this hairstyle to different heights, sides of the head, they've worn it messy and sleek. My favorite used to be the side chignon which comes from the French phrase “chignon du cou,” which means nape of the neck. LOVE the elegance that it can bring to any occasion. I usually wear my hair back since I am not great at doing down styles. It's usually in a bun or a pony tail. Well, I remember the first time I saw the ballerina bun. I had mixed reviews going on in my head about it. Sometimes I liked it but for the most part, if it had too much volume, not enough or was just a ball sitting atop someone's head, I just wasn't a fan. Then I realized this may be because I am SUCH a bow or ribbon enthusiast and THAT is what most of them were all missing. With that thought parading around in that same noggin of mine I made my own tutorial where, of course, we use a bow and make the ballerina bow sing. Enjoy!

Lunar New Year makeup look

It's a bit late but here's the Lunar New Year look I promised myself I'd redo after my epic fail 2 years ago! I wanted to do it last year but just never got around so it, so this year I HAD to redeem myself, lol. I think it turned out better this time ;)
Remember, all pics are clickable!
I did this back on Feb 1st, but I think I can remember what I used:

Eyes:
-Too Faced Shadow Insurance in Candlelight
-NYX JEP Milk
BFTE:
-Halo, inner third of lid (bright yellow-gold with subtle green shimmer)
-Addicted, most of lid (bright metallic rusty pinkish-red)
-Isis, outer corner and lower lashline (dark base with metallic rust-red and bronze shimmer)
-Very Vanilla, to blend edges
-Ornamental, outer corner to inner corner and tearduct and on browbone (pale low-shimmer gold)
-Way Up High, on browbone (matte white with slight gold sheen)
-Queen of Hearts, patted onto outer half of lid (red glitter)
-Darling Girl Cosmetics Glitter Glue (patted lightly onto shadow under glitter)
-Wet n' Wild Mega Liner liquid liner in Black
-Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On pencil in Perversion (waterline)
-Sephora Full Action Extreme Effect mascara in 01 Black
-Andrea ModLash #33 Black falsies

Brows:
-Sephora mini brown eyeliner pencil

Face:
-Smashbox Photo Finish Light primer
-Revlon Colorstay for Combination/Oily skin (Ivory/Beige mixed)
-mark. powder

Cheeks:
-Darling Girl blushes in Cherry Bomb and Charming Coral
-BFTE's Ornamental as highlighter

Lips:
-NYX lip pencil in Hot Red
-OCC Lip Tar in Harlot
My messy desk after creating the look; this isn't all the products I used and not everything here was used in this look, but you can see many of the items I used ;)
Elph pic with no flash; sucky color but lifelike texture/dimension.
My lips look like a fish but the eye-makeup looks good; you can see the glitter really well, and also the black smear at the corner of my left eye where my makeup was running due to my eye watering because of something I did.. D;
A couple of things went wrong with this look, like my eyeliner looking wonky because I'm still not comfortable with using the Mega Liner yet, and my eye watering so badly and my eyeballs looking bloodshot, and the lash glue getting all over the eyeliner because I'm still having trouble applying falsies these days lol. I definitely think it's time for some new ones, and some new lash glue! >.<
Over all though I think it's much better than 2 years ago. :D
Thanks for reading!<3

Bright pink, purple, blue and gold with BFTE

Here's a recent eye look I did back before my Valentine's look; I hadn't done any fun makeup since before the new year and I just felt like playing! When it comes to fun eyeshadow, I just love using bright pink, purple and blue together. I did something a little different this time by adding the gold over my eyeliner to make it pop!
Taken with Canon Elph, no flash to show texture
Products I used:
-Urban Decay Primer Potion
-NYX JEP Milk
-CS 88 Palette, matte light pink on lid
-BFTE Playful, matte periwinkle blue on outer corner
-BFTE Cheeky, matte lavender to blend the pink and blue
-BFTE Autumn, smooth metallic gold on uperlashline over Loreal Carbon Black felt tip liquid liner pen
-BFTE Clear Skies, bright shimmery sky blue on lower lashline over UD Radium pencil
-BFTE Lace, off-white with golden shimmer to highlight browbone and inner corner/tearduct
-BFTE Very Vanilla, matte vanilla to blend edges
-Wet n' Wild Fantasy Makers glitter eyeliner (teal) lower lashline on outer corner/wing
-BFTE High Roller glitter (blue) over patted over glitter eyeliner
-Sephora mini white pencil on waterline
-Sephora Full Action Extreme Effect mascara in 01 Black
-Andrea modlash #33 falsies
-Sephora mini brown pencil on brows
-88 palette, medium brown on brows
-Hard Candy Glamoflauge in Light
-BFTE mineral foundation in Light Beige
I forgot I used this purple Beauty Rush mascara on my lower lashes but it didn't really show up anyway. Goes to show though, it pays to take pics of what you used ;)
Kinda gives me an 80s vibe, how about you? I love these colors and I love the way this look turned out.
Thanks for reading!<3
