EOTD: Lava Peacock with BFTE Cosmetics

Hey there! I haven't blogged in a few weeks because it's been crazy and busy around here. I'm back now with a little eye look for you :)
I unofficially named it "Lava Peacock" after the two main colors used in the look. Please scroll down for more pictures and details! (And remember to click the pics for full-sized viewing!)

 Products:
-Lime Crime Makeup Candy Eyed Shadow Helper
-Tick:Tock Infinity Eyeshadow Base in Black Hole (black)
BFTE Cosmetics shadows in:
 -Peacock (teal on lid/lower lashline)
-Lava Momma (hot magenta on crease/outer corner)
-Whisper (apricot/violet duochrome applied all over Lava Momma, tearduct, browbone)
-Very Vanilla (matte vanilla on browbone)
-Loreal Lineur Intense Carbon Black felt-tip liquid liner pen
-Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On pencil in Perversion (waterlines)
-Shu Uemura curler
-Cover Girl Lash Perfection mascara
-Wet N' Wild coloricon pencil in Taupe (on brow)
-Coastal Scents 88 Palette (taupe shade on brow)
-Hard Candy Glamoflauge in Light
-mark. Powder Buff in Nude
Nakey face ;P
Lava Momma is a really bright hot pink color, but blended a little with the teal it gave a purplish cast in some pics; I also used Whisper over the pink, which has a violet sheen so that gave the appearance of more purple as well. I used a black base on the lid which made the green/teal iridescence in Peacock really stand out; the color and sheen reminds me a lot of the shell of a Japanese beetle. ;) I tried to keep this look simple because I wanted to do a little step-by-step tutorial for it, which you will be able to find on my Makeupbee profile :)

Hope you enjoyed this and I hope to be back into more makeup really soon!
Thanks for reading....

Day 30: "Dreams" EOTD with BFTE

It's Day 30 woohoo! I'm two-thirds along with this 90 day challenge! I didn't plan it but I have something nice for you today ;)
It's a look I did yesterday and it's based off of my sister Becky's brand new drawing!
The drawing is called Dreams and she made it for a contest. (Check out her Facebook page for her art, she's so talented!)
I thought this picture was just beautiful and I wanted to do a look using the colors. I immediately knew exactly which colors to use.

Please click to view full-size!
sparkles!

The lashes didn't want to stick lol, you can probably see them coming off in one spot. :c I also had a little trouble with the purples since they can be sheer, I couldn't get them to apply the way I wanted but I think the look still turned out okay. I hope you enjoyed it too :3 Please check out my sister's page!

Day 20: "Neutral and Pink" FOTD

Day 20! Today I felt like playing so I decided to do the NTMS challenge which was Neutral and Pink. I'll say right now I've never been good at neutral looks, but I tried. I guess I just need more practice, lol.
I used mostly Chinovi shadows for these looks (there are two, each eye is different).

Eyes:
-TFSI Candlelight
-NYX Milk
Chinovi Cosmetics shadows in:
-Divine
-Meltdown
-Candy <3
-Princess
-First Day
-Sunrise (left eye only)
-Denial (left eye only)
-BFTE Very Vanilla
-BFTE Butt Naked
-UD "Zero" (left lower lashline)
-UD "Demolition" (right upper and lower lashlines)
-Loreal Lineur Intense Carbon Black liquid liner pen (left eye only)
-Wet N' Wild Mega Liner in Black (right eye only)
-Shu Uemura curler
-Cover Girl Lash perfection mascara in Very Black
-brown shadow on brows

-mark. Powder Buff in Nude
-Darling Girl "Boy Crazy" (contour)
-Darling Girl "Virgin" and "Secret Star" blushes (mixed)

Lips:
-NYX lipliner in "Nude Pink"
-Wet N' Wild matte lipstick in "Think Pink"
-mark. GBG hookup gloss in "Sweet Talk"
Here's NYX "Nude Pink" lipliner over chapstick. it's a little warmer than my natural lipcolor but pretty dang close!!
Here's Wet N' Wild "Think Pink" lipstick over the lipliner. I also put a pale cool pink gloss on. :)
I hope you enjoyed these somewhat unconventional looks, lol. They didn't turn out how I wanted but that's entirely due to my lack of neutral skillz. I love working with my Chinovi shadows!<3

Thanks for reading! Now go check out the other challengers ---->

Day 1: Coral Coffee Shop

I have an announcement: I've decided to participate in a 90 Day Blog Makeup Challenge with a bunch of other blogger ladies; (A LIST OF PARTICIPANTS IS VISIBLE ON THE RIGHT-HAND SIDE OF MY BLOG); basically we just have to post something makeup related on our blogs every day for 90 days. Sounds intimidating, doesn't it? I agree...
When I first heard about the challenge my mind immediately began to fill with excuses for why I couldn't do it, but throwing caution to the wind and saying "Why not?" I agreed to challenge myself right along with them. The worst thing that can happen is I become so overwhelmed or busy with real life things that I can no longer continue on a daily basis. If that happens, at least I'll know I tried, and maybe I'll even have some personal triumphs to take out of the experience.
SO! All that being said, I'm excited to share with you my post for Day 1: Coral Coffee Shop!
This idea was inspired by my new Coffee Shop collection of eyeshadows from Beauty from the Earth, and the coral part came from Nymphette's April Challenge Calendar. (I love this idea!)
The first 4 photos were taken with flash, the rest in direct sunlight from the setting sun :)

 Products:

Eyes:
-UDPP
BFTE shadows in:
-Espresso (coffee shop collection dark brown)
-Mocchiato (coffee shop collection shimmery light-medium golden brown)
-Very Vanilla (matte vanilla on lid)
-Butt Naked (shimmery vanilla on browbone/tearduct)
UD 24/7 Glide-On pencils in:
-Stray Dog (lower lashline with Mocchiato over top)
-Demolition (dark matte brown to line lid)
-Wet N' Wild Megaliner in Dark Brown (for the wing)
-Sephora mini white eyeliner (waterline)
Cover Girl Lash Perfection mascara in Very Black
-Wet N' Wild eye and brow pencil in Taupe (brow)
-Shu Uemura curler
-Hard Candy Glamoflauge in Light (around eye)

Face:
-Laura Mercier primer (sample)
-mark. Powder Buff in Nude (left side only, lol)
-Darling Girl Cosmetics blush in Cheeky (peachy coral)

Lips:
-mark. gloss in Beverly Hills (coral shade from "L.A." Flip For It kit)
-Darling Girl Cosmetics "Miami" Holo-Gloss

I wanted to do a simple look without too much fuss. I intended to to both eyes but just got too lazy, lol. I'm not really wearing much foundation, just some powder... as you can see, my skin is crap right now. :( I wish I had a good foundation that was easy to take off; Colorstay works well but it's just way too harsh on my skin to use every day. (If anyone knows of a good-coverage foundation that's not hard to remove, I'm looking to try something new.) My skin has also been dry this season and gets flaky which is annoying. Even still, I think the pictures look somewhat artsy and nice anyway, if you can ignore my naked eye and bad skin, lol. If I'm going to potentially be doing this every day, I think you'll get used to seeing me looking less... put together, shall we say. But I think it will help me not to be such a perfectionist all the time. ;P

Darling Girl "Miami" Holo-Gloss FULL of sparkle!
The thick liner was an accident but I think it worked out :)
derp!

That's it for Day 1, stay tuned for Day 2! Also please check out the other challengers and show them your support! There's a list on the right-hand side ------->

Thanks so much for reading!<3

Gorgeous Greens with BFTE and Urban Decay

Hello! I'm back again with a pretty little green look I did for Saint Patrick's Day!
I've always had a soft spot for greens; back when I first started experimenting more with makeup as an older teen, green was the first color I felt comfortable wearing in public. I kept it subtle, usually in the form of a cheap green eyeliner or tiny tube of cream shadow, courtesy of oldschool Wet N' Wild or NYC. For some reason I've always considered green to be almost a neutral, maybe because it's the color of grass and leaves.. it seemed earthy and natural.
Anyway, I really love how this look turned out; in fact I was almost giddy! Please keep reading for more info and don't forget to click the pics! :)

Products:
-Too Faced Shadow Insurance in Candlelight
-Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On pencil in Junkie (shimmering teal all over lid as base)

-Very Vanilla (matte vanilla shade all around edges and on browbone)
-Ornamental (pale gold, just a tiny bit above Gooseberry, mostly on outer browbone)
-Black (matte black over black liner on upper lid)
-Mississippi Mud (matte deep brown on brow)
-Truffle (matte medium brown on brow)
-Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On pencil in Perversion (upper liner and waterline)

Maximize this pic and look closely in my pupil... see anything creepy? O_o
I didn't go out that night so I only did one eye :)

I've been wanting to do this look for a few weeks; I discovered how good these colors looked together while picking which makeups to pack for vacation, and then I got sick ON vacation so I couldn't do it sooner. It turned out so well that I want to recreate it as a full-face look, maybe with a peachy lip or something. I've also been asked for a tutorial so that will probably be in the works as well; maybe even a video tutorial? :O
Old pic from 2006 of me wearing the green cream shadow I mentioned before; I've been trying to find a similar green ever since ;P

Thanks for reading!<3

Stupid lash glue always gets all over the place :(
